Elderberry Racing was established by Patricia Cowdrill's late husband Pat Ryan.
Many considered Pat one of the most shrewdest judges in the game and of the same mould as the legendary trainer Charlie Lister OBE.
He bought and built the kennels and main house from scratch (2 1/2 years living in a caravan!) and turned it into a successful greyhound training complex.
Success arrived many times topped with wonderful dogs like Here's Seannie (Derby Finalist) and the home bred Elderberry Chick (Champion Stakes winner).
Sadly Pat is no longer with us but the firm foundation and record of achievement that he set up from the beginning has been passed on to Partricia in recent years and the latest incredible run of success by kennel superstar Butts Mott is testament to everything they do right at Elderberry Racing kennels.
The staff at the kennels have created a close knit outfit (see The Team Page), everyone knows their jobs and no expense is spared in the preparation, welfare and conditioning of their dogs so that they perform to the best of their ability be it in A10 or top Open class.
For anyone considering getting into greyhound racing or wishes to place their dogs with a trainer who understands greyhounds as well as owners..there really is one place to be, Elderberry Racing

Sometimes dreams do come true and with Butts Mott we lived that dream every day.

Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things.
